415 Present writ petition has been filed for directing respondent No.2 to issue the necessary directions to respondent No.4 for taking the necessary action in pursuance of the letter dated 08.11.2023 (Annexure P-2) whereby it has been recommended to take the necessary action under Section 216 of Punjab Panchayati Raj Act, 1994 in order to recover the amount of Rs.7,62,399/- from respondent No.7 i.e. Sarpanch, Gram Panchayat Dehriwal, District Amritsar.

Learned counsel for the petitioner has submitted before this Court that the petitioner has made representation dated 25.01.2024 against respondent No.7 i.e. the Sarpanch of the village Dehriwal before respondent No.2 i.e. Deputy Commissioner, Amritsar but no action has been taken on the same till date.
