The instant FAO is directed against order dated 21.09.1983 passed by learned Civil Judge (Senior Division), Hoshiarpur, vide which the learned Civil Judge (Senior Division) Hoshiarpur had set aside an arbitration award passed under the old Act of 1940. 2.

Learned counsel submits that the instant appeal was instituted in this Court in the year 1993 when the jurisdiction of the learned District Judge was limited to the extent of Rs.20 lakhs. 3.

It has been pointed out that subsequently pursuant to the amendment carried out in Punjab Courts Act in the year 2006, the District Judges MOHAN SINGH 2023.12.18 18:01 I attest to the accuracy and authenticity of this order/judgment

FAO-1831-1993 (O&M) - 2 - 2023:PHHC:162554 have been vested with an unlimited pecuniary jurisdiction. It has been thus submitted that the instant appeal is required to be transmitted to the Court of the District Judge, Hoshiarpur so that the same may be taken up for hearing in accordance with law. 4.

In view of the aforesaid submission, the instant appeal, is ordered to be transmitted to the Court of District Judge, Hoshiarpur so that the same may be heard in accordance with law. It shall be open to the District Judge, Hoshiarpur to either hear the appeal himself or to assign the same to any other Court of competent jurisdiction. 5.

The instant matter stands disposed of in the aforesaid terms. 6.

The Registry is directed to transmit the entire record to the Court concerned.
