The petitioner allegedly entered into an agreement of sale of 16 kanals of land and obtained a sum of Rs.25 lacs from complainant Jasvir Singh with a further promise to marry his daughter and thereafter to execute an agreement of sale. It has been informed that as a matter of fact the petitioner has already executed the sale deed in favour of the complainant.

HC Kewal Singh informs that the petitioner has joined the investigation. It does not appear to be a case of custodial interrogation. Copy of the Panchayat Nama has been taken on record. The petition is allowed. Interim order dated 11.4.2016 is hereby made absolute subject to all the conditions u/s 438(2) Cr.P.C., believing that the contents of the Panchayat Nama, produced by him, that the sale deed dated 6.5.2016 has been executed in favour of Jasvir Singh, are true. In case the contents of the Panchayat Nama, produced by the petitioner, are found to be false, the petitioner will be liable for the consequences, in accordance with law.
