CWP-17344-1997 1.

The present Civil Writ Petition has been filed under Articles 226/227 of the Constitution of India for issuance of a writ in the nature of certiorari for quashing the order dated 11.03.1997 vide which the claim of the petitioner for promotion to the post of Headmistress has been rejected. 2.

Learned counsel submits that the petitioner during the pendency of the present petition, has since been promoted to the post of Head Mistress vide order dated 21.01.1998, as also discernible from Annexure R-1, appended to the written statement. However, the claim for promotion from the due date i.e. 1986 and the consequential benefits arising therefrom has not been considered for which, a representation dated 04.04.1998, Annexure P-26 appended with the replication, had been submitted by her, which has yet not evoked any response. He thus, at this stage, on instructions, submits that the petitioner is sanguine of it being considered in a positive manner, in case, a direction is given to the respondents to decide the same in a time bound manner by granting her an opportunity of hearing.
