MANJARI NEHRU KAUL, J. (Oral) The present petition has been filed for issuance of a writ in the nature of mandamus for directing respondents No. 2 and 3 to protect the life and liberty of the petitioners from the hands of respondents No.4 to 6. The learned State counsel has invited the attention of this Court to the status report filed by way of an affidavit of Assistant Commissioner of Police West Jalandhar. The learned counsel has submitted that the parents of petitioner No.1 have categorically made a statement that they have no objection to the live-in relationship between the petitioners. He submits that in the circumstances there is no threat persisting qua the life and liberty of the petitioners. In the wake of the status report filed by the State, no further orders are called for.

The petition is disposed of.
