Prayer made in the present case is for quashing the tentative selection list dated 02.01.2025 prepared by respondent No.2 for appointment for the post of Assistant Professor in Geography pursuant to advertisement dated 19.10.2021, Annexure P-8.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner has secured 69 marks in the selection process and now as per the revised select list three candidates at Sr. No.386, 390 and 391 and the candidates who are at Sr. No.386 and 390 secured the same marks however are younger in age have been included, while one at Sr. No.391 has 68 marks. 2.

The aforesaid facts having been brought out, during the course of hearing, learned State counsel, on instructions, states that the matter is still under DINESH 2025.02.13 04:52 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document

CWP-3794-2025 (O&M) -2consideration and the aforesaid facts shall be taken into account while preparing the final result, which this Court has no reason to believe the authorities would not address in a just, fair and reasonable manner. 3.

The aforesaid satisfies the learned counsel for the petitioner. 4.

The matter stands disposed of accordingly with a direction to the respondent to reconsider and decide the claim of the petitioner within a period of four months in the light of the aforesaid submission and if the petitioner is found entitled, grant the benefit forthwith. Needless to say, if the orders are adverse to his interest, the same may be passed after granting opportunity of hearing to him and shall contain reasons, whereupon the petitioner shall be free to seek legal redress thereupon.
