SUVIR SEHGAL, J. (Oral) The Court has been convened through video conferencing due to Covid-19 pandemic.

On 24.02.2020, following order was passed:- "FIR bearing No. 95 dated 12.08.2019 under Sections 420, 120 B was registered at Police Station Tappa Mandi, District Barnala on the basis of a complaint submitted by Gagandeep Singh against Amarjit Kaur and Rajdeep Singh, the wife and son of the petitioner, respectively. A sum of Rs. 5 lacs has been paid for the purpose of sending the complainant abroad. It has been stated that during the relevant period, the petitioner was residing abroad, he has neither been named in SAVITA KADIAN 2021.07.26 17:40 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document High Court Chandigarh

Notice of motion for 19.03.2020.

Meanwhile, petitioner is directed to join the investigation. In the event of arrest, petitioner shall be released on interim bail to the satisfaction of the Investigating Officer. The petitioner will join the investigation as and when called for and shall also abide by the conditions as specified under Section 438(2) Cr.P.C."

Learned State counsel, on instructions from ASI Jasvir Singh submits that the petitioner has joined investigation and is no longer required for custodial interrogation.

In view of the above facts, but without commenting on the merits of the case, the present petition is allowed and the order dated 24.02.2020 granting interim bail to the petitioner is made absolute, subject to the conditions laid down in Section 438(2) of the Code of Criminal Procedure.
