The petitioner has approached this Court seeking grant of regular bail in respect of a case registered against him vide FIR No.119, dated 25.9.2021, Police Station Navi Baradari District Police Commissionerate Jalandhar, under Sections 419, 420 IPC and Section 82 of Registration Act.

The allegations, in nutshell, are to the effect that the petitioner has executed sale deed in respect of the land owned by complainant, by way of impersonation.

Learned counsel for the petitioner has submitted that the matter has now been amicably resolved and that the parties will shortly be filing a petition for quashing of the FIR on the basis of compromise. 4.

Mr. Ashok Kumar Khanna, Advocate, appearing on behalf of the complainant has endorsed the factum of compromise. 5.

Learned State counsel has however, feigned the factum of compromise. He has however, passed on the custody certificate indicating that the petitioner has been behind bars since the last 6 months and 21 days and is stated to be involved in one more case. 6.

I have considered rival submissions addressed before this Court. 7.
