The petitioners through instant petition under Article 226/227 of the Constitution of India are seeking setting aside of award dated 08.09.2025 passed by Motor Accident Claims Tribunal (Pre-Lok Adalat), Gurugram (for short 'MACT').

2.

They filed claim before MACT seeking compensation to the tune of Rs.80,00,000/-. The Tribunal vide award dated 08.09.2025 has awarded compensation of Rs.6,85,000/- on the basis of compromise arrived at amongst the petitioners and Insurance Company 3.

Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that petitioners are illiterate and they were not aware of the fact that they may get higher amount of compensation. Respondent misled them and under the influence of officials of Insurance Company, they tendered statement before MACT.

CWP-3993-2026 -24.

Heard the arguments and perused the record.

5.

From the perusal of record, it is evident that petitioners appeared before Court and tendered their statement. They were represented by an Advocate. They were not forced to tender statement. There is nothing on record disclosing that their statement was coerced. There seems no reason to interfere with order passed by MACT. 6.

Dismissed.
