The present petition has been filed under Articles 226/227 of the Constitution of India for issuance of appropriate writ, order or direction especially issue a writ in the nature of mandamus directing the respondent No.1 to 3 to grant protection to the life and liberty of petitioners at the hands of private respondents.

Learned counsel for the petitioners is still not appearing and Mr. Saleem Ahmed, Advocate has put in appearance and submits that, in fact, the counsel Ms. Raman Preet is in his office and she could not appear on account of demise of her father. Although, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submits that the demise of her father was prior to the filing of this petition. However, due to some sudden family exigencies she could not come present.

After arguing vehemently on the merits of the case and having failed to demonstrate any threat perception, learned counsel for the petitioners has prayed for withdrawal of the present petition. Manju 2024.03.13 14:07 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document

It is a strange case that petitioner No.1 is a mother of three children and the youngest being three years and their future have been put to peril, however, baseless allegations have been made against respondent No.4-husband without any cogent proof.

However, keeping the above, the present petition is dismissed as withdrawn without prejudice to the rights of the respondents and children who were not ever made a party.

It is made clear that filing or pendency of this petition or any order/direction passed in this petition shall not be an alibi or defence to the petitioners, in case, they are found involved in any illegal activity and /or in violation of any law qua which the respondent-Authorities shall take appropriate action, in accordance with law.
