Challenge in the present writ petition is to the appointment to the post of Lecturer in Botany in pursuance of advertisement (Annexure P1). The original counsel has been elevated to the Bench of this Court and, therefore, notice was issued to the petitioner. The same has been received back served through his brother. None has put in appearance on behalf of the petitioner. A period of almost 20 years has gone by when the selection was made of private respondents and they would have joined thereafter. It is obvious that the petitioner has lost interest in the litigation due to the length of the litigation and he would have carried on in life in pursuit of his professional avenues.
