(Oral) Petition herein is, inter alia, seeking a writ in the nature of Mandamus, for directing the respondent No.4 - Deputy Commissioner-cumDistrict Electoral Officer, Gurdaspur, Punjab to remove respondent No.6 - Sarabjit Kaur being a Sarpanch of the village Bharo Harni on account of illegal possession of Panchayat land.

There is no representation on behalf of the petitioner today. Same was the position on last date of hearing i.e. 10.04.2026 as well. It appears that the petitioner is not interested in pursuing the instant matter any further.

Keeping in view the above, the present writ petition is dismissed for non-prosecution.
