CORAM:
HON'BLE MR. JUSTICE SANJAY VASHISTH PRESENT: Mr. Shahin Hussan, Advocate for the petitioner(s).
Mr. P.K. Jhanda, Sr. DAG, Haryana.
Mr. Taleem Khan, Advocate for the complainant(s).
**** SANJAY VASHISTH , J. (Oral) 1.
Prayer in this petition, filed under Section 482 of the BNSS, 2023 (earlier Section 438 Cr.P.C.), is for grant of anticipatory bail to the petitioner, who has been booked in a criminal case arising out of First Information Report, as detailed hereunder:- Name & age of Petitioner (s) FIR No.
Date Section(s) Police Station District Deepak @ Deepu, aged about 33 years 04.09.2025 140(1), 3(5), 304 of BNS, 2023 Baldev Nagar Ambala 2.
At the outset, learned State counsel has filed status report dated 20.04.2026, in Court today, which is taken on record. Office to tag the same at appropriate place.
A copy thereof has been handed over to the counsel for the petitioner.
3.
In the present case, on 09.02.2026, following order was passed:- "2.
On oral request made by the petitioner, complainants namely (1) Amit Kumar, son of Sh. Kasturi Lal, resident of ward No.1, near Masjid, Village Raipur Rani, District Panchkula, and (2) Manik son of Rajiv Kumar, resident of VPO Raipur Rani, near Mata Mansa Devi Mandir, District Panchkula, are ordered to be impleaded as respondent Nos.2 and 3, respectively.
- 2 - Let amended memo of parties be filed by counsel for the petitioner, within a period of two days from today, in the Registry, without moving any separate application.
3.
Learned counsel for the petitioner, inter alia, contends that complainant, Amit Kumar, along with his friend Manik, got the FIR registered against the accused persons, namely:- (i) Harsh, (ii) Ranveer Singh (petitioner herein), (iii) Ashu, (iv) Rohit, and (v) unknown person. As per the allegations, on 15.07.2025, when complainant Amit Kumar and his friend Manik had come to Jaggi City Centre, Ambala City, in a car, bearing registration No.HR-07-AG-3623, to meet an acquaintance, rear tyre of the car got punctured. While the complainant had gone outside Jaggi City Centre to get the tyre repaired, accused Harsh allegedly caught hold of the complainant from behind and slapped him, and thereafter, he snatched the car keys and drove away the complainant's car.
It is further alleged that the other accused forcibly made the complainant and Manik sit in their Scorpio vehicle. During the said journey, accused Ashu and Ranveer Singh (petitioner herein) allegedly gave beatings to the complainant. Thereafter, complainant and Manik were taken to the roof of a shop near a main square, where accused Harsh again allegedly assaulted the complainant. It is further alleged that the accused persons forcibly obtained the complainant's signatures and thumb impressions on stamp papers brought by accused Harsh. It is further alleged that a video recording was prepared wherein the complainant was made to state that he had to pay an amount to accused Harsh and the car had been handed over to him, to be returned upon payment of the said amount within one month. Thus, it has been alleged in the FIR that complainant's car was forcibly retained by the accused persons, after obtaining his signatures and thumb impressions on stamp papers under threat, force, and pressure. 3.
Learned counsel for the petitioner, Ranbir Singh, submits that allegations are false, fabricated, and baseless, and no truth is involved therein. It is argued that, in order to wriggle out of a monetary dispute, a concocted story has been set up to falsely implicate the petitioner. Background of registration of the FIR is stated to be purely a monetary dispute, which has been given the colour of a criminal offence. Thus, learned counsel prays for grant of concession of anticipatory bail to the petitioner in the present case.

4.
Learned counsel for the petitioner submits dispute between the parties has already been resolved, as a settlement/compromise has been arrived at between the parties.
Aforesaid fact is also not disputed by learned counsel appearing
- 3 - for the complainant as well. Rather, he submits that if the petitioner is also granted concession of anticipatory bail by allowing the present petition. 5.

The petitioner shall also be abide by all the conditions laid down under Section 482(2) of BNSS, 2023 (earlier Section 438(2) Cr.P.C.). 7.
