Prayer made in the present case is for directing the respondents to grant the statutory pay scale to the petitioners as per 2009 Rules, Annexure P-5. with regard to which legal notice dated 05.11.2024, Annexure P-8, has been served upon the respondents, but the same have yet not evoked any response. Learned counsel for the petitioners relies upon a judgment of this Court passed in CWP-15896 of 2023 and other connected petitions, titled Saurabh Sharma and others versus State of Punjab and others, decided on 13.09.2024. 2.

In view of the above and without commenting upon the merits of the case, this petition is hereby disposed of with a direction to the respondents to decide the legal notice dated 05.11.2024, Annexure P-8, within a period of 06 months, which this Court has no reason to believe the authorities would not address in a just, fair and reasonable manner.
