(Oral) The present petition has been filed by the petitioner for seeking permission to travel abroad to Australia for the period of about 05 months & 10 days from 20.01.2026 to 30.06.2026 during pendency of case bearing FIR No.72 dated 10.09.2015 registered under Sections 22 and 25 of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act, 1985 at Police Station Kot Dharmu, District Mansa.

Status report dated 10.03.2026 by way of an affidavit of Butta Singh, PPS, Deputy Superintendent of Police, Sub-Division Mansa, District Mansa has already been filed on behalf of the respondent/State. The same is taken on record. Registry is directed to tag the same at an appropriate place. 3.

Learned counsel appearing on behalf of petitioner submits that the present petition has been rendered infructuous since the petitioner already stands acquitted in the aforesaid case vide judgment dated 20.04.2026 passed by the Judge, Special Court, Mansa in case bearing No.NDPS/38/2017.

In view of the above, the present petition is disposed of as having been rendered infructuous.
