The petitioner through instant petition under Articles 226/227 of the Constitution of India is seeking direction to respondent No. 1 to renew his passport.

Learned counsel for the petitioner, at the outset, submits that petitioner on account of pendency of trial has moved an application before the trial court seeking permission to get renewed his passport, thus, she may be permitted to withdraw present petition with liberty to approach trial court. The application has been filed in terms of Notification No. 570 dated 25.08.1993.

The Centre Government in exercise of power conferred by Section 22 of the Passport Act, 1976, has issued Notification No. 570 dated 25.08.1993 whereby it has been provided that despite pendency of criminal PARAMJIT KAUR SAINI 2023.08.31 16:35 I attest to the accuracy and authenticity of this order/judgment
