* * * * Learned counsel for the petitioners points out that the point involved in this writ petition is precisely the same as was in CWP No. 16531 of 1998 titled as 'Harinder Pal Singh Sidhu Vs. State of Punjab' and CWP No. 6658 of 2001 titled as 'T.R. Singla & Others Vs. State of Punjab & Others'.

Learned counsel for the petitioners further points out that CWP No. 16531 of 1998 was dismissed as withdrawn, whereas the other writ petition involving the same points has since been dismissed by Division Bench of this Court vide order dated 29.08.2002. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that this writ petition may be disposed of in the same terms.

Ordered accordingly.
