**** SANJAY VASHISTH , J. (Oral) Present petition is seeking for direction to official respondents No.2 & 3 for not harassing/implicating the petitioners in false criminal cases, at the instance of respondents No.4 to 12, on account of solemnization of marriage by the petitioners against the wishes of private respondents. There is also a prayer to grant protection of life and liberty to the petitioners, so that, no harm is caused to them by the private respondents. Order dated 04.03.2021, passed by this Court says as under:- "Learned counsel for the petitioners contends that the petitioners are receiving threats from respondent Nos. 4 to 12 as they have entered into marriage on 01.03.2021 against their wishes.

Notice of motion to respondent Nos. 1 to 3 only, at this stage.

Mr. Ramdeep Partap Singh, DAG, Punjab, accepts notice on behalf of official respondents. Counsel for the petitioners undertakes to forward the complete copy of the petition to the office of Advocate General Punjab through e-mail, during the course of the day.

Today, learned State counsel, on instructions from ASI Jaspal Chand, makes a statement that for examining the threat perception, concerned Investigating Officer has recorded statement of Kirna Rani (petitioner No.1). However, statement of Surinder Singh (petitioner No.2) or other concerned persons, is yet to be recorded. Learned State counsel also submits that as per the statement of petitioner No.1 - Kirna Rani, now, there is no threat perception to them.

At this stage, learned counsel for the petitioners submits that let present petition be disposed of by giving direction to the Sr. Superintendent of Police, Ferozepur (respondent No.2), to get statements recorded of all the private respondents i.e. No.4 to 12 and both the petitioners afresh, to rule out existence of threat perception as indicated in the present petition. In view of the stand of the petitioners counsel, respondents No.2 & 3 are directed to re-examine the threat perception as indicated in representation dated 01.03.2021 and fresh statements of all the concerned parties be recorded for ensuring that there is no threat perception to the lives and liberty of the petitioners. In case situation warrants, an appropriate action be taken in accordance with law.

Petition stands disposed of accordingly.
