The petitioners seek quashing of FIR No.134, dated 10.10.2019, Police Station Mehta, District Amritsar, under Sections 307, 336, 148, 149 of Indian Penal Code and Sections 25 and 27 of Arms Act on the ground that the matter has since been compromised.

This Court finds that the FIR was registered for offences under Sections 307, 336, 148, 149 of Indian Penal Code and Sections 25 and 27 of Arms Act. Offence under Section 307 IPC is a serious offence and is a noncompoundable offence. No special circumstance has been shown to this Court as to why a petition for quashing of FIR under Section 307 IPC on grounds of compromise should be entertained. The petition is sans merit and is hereby dismissed.
