On the last date of hearing, Mr. Shilesh Gupta, Addl. A.G. Punjab was asked to assist the court. He, on instructions from ASI Kulwant Singh, who is present in court, submits that trial of the case is in progress. Few prosecution witnesses remain to be examined. Prosecution shall not delay the matter in any manner. At this stage, learned counsel appearing for the petitioners submits that he may be allowed to withdraw this petition with liberty to the petitioners to raise all the pleas before the trial court at the appropriate stage.
