This is second application for the grant of regular bail in a case where the petitioner is alleged to have fired at deceased Dalwinderjit Singh hitting him on his chest. Earlier application filed by the petitioner was dismissed on 3.9.2014 as only two out of eighteen witnesses stood examined in September 2014. A direction was issued that in case a request is made by the petitioner for short dates by submitting an application, the trial Court shall make an endeavour to conclude the trial expeditiously giving short dates of hearing.

On the instructions of ASI Sukhwinder Singh, it has been informed that four witnesses out of eighteen have been examined.

CRM-M-10103-2015 (O&M) State counsel informs that the petitioner has not filed any application pursuant to the order dated 3.9.2014. Finding no changed circumstances after 3.9.2014, for grant of bail to the petitioner, the present petition is dismissed. It is ordered that in case the trial is not concluded within a period fo six months, it will be open to the petitioner to approach this Court for grant of bail. A direction is issued that the trial Court shall make earnest endeavour to give short dates of hearing and conclude the trial within a period of six months.
