Petitioner has filed this petition under Section 439 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973 seeking regular bail in FIR No. 81 dated 8.4.2014 under Section 22 of Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act, 1985, registered at Police Station Kotwali, Faridkot, District Faridkot.
Learned State counsel, who is assisted by Assistant Sub Inspector Amarjit Singh, has submitted that trial is near conclusion as prosecution has closed its evidence and the case is listed before the Trial Court for defence evidence of the petitioner. In view of the submissions made by learned State counsel, no ground for grant of bail to the petitioner, at this stage, is made out as the trial is near conclusion.
Petition stands disposed of accordingly.
