Mr.Kirat Singh Sidhu,DAG Punjab assisted by ASI Avtar Singh Jaswant Singh,J(Oral) Prayer is for grant of anticipatory bail in case FIR No.137 dated 1.12.2014 under Sections 420/406 IPC, PS Bullowal,Tehsil Hoshiarpur. Complainant Satpal Singh alleges that the present accused had induced him to pay a sum of Rs.1.80 lacs for sending the complainant to Afghanistan for securing a job. However, he was sent to Dubai from where after two months he was deported back.
It was contended that grievance has been made after two years and the role of the petitioner was only of introducing the complainant to a travel agent at Amritsar.
Vide order dated 11.4.2016 while granting interim protection petitioner was directed to join investigation. At the time of hearing today,learned counsel for the petitioner states that in terms of the order dated 11.4.2016, petitioner RAJINDER PRASHAD JOSHI 2016.05.19 11:43 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document
CRM-M 11175/2016 has joined investigation and fully cooperated. Learned State counsel does not dispute the stand taken by the learned counsel for the petitioner and states that custodial interrogation of the petitioner is no longer required. In view of the above interim protection/bail granted vide order dated 11.4.2016 is made absolute.
