Present petition under Section 438 Cr.P.C. for grant of pre-arrest bail to the petitioner(s) in case FIR No. 179 dated 14.12.2016, registered under Sections 406 & 420 IPC at Police Station Morinda, District Ropar. Learned counsel for the petitioner contended that the petitioner has since joined the investigation and he is not required for further investigation in any way. Thus, he be released on pre-arrest bail. Learned counsel for the respondent-State affirmed the fact that the petitioner has joined the investigation and no purpose shall be served by further making arrest and detaining him in custody in this case.
