(ORAL) The grievance of the petitioner as raised in the present writ petition is that the petitioner was entitled for promotion to the post of Principal as junior of the petitioner was extended the said benefit but, the said benefit was not extended to him without any valid justification and the petitioner had raised the said grievance vide Annexure P-4 dated 11.05.2019. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that awaiting the response of the respondents, the petitioner attained the age of superannuation and retired on 29.02.2020. The prayer of the petitioner in the present writ petition is that the respondents be directed to decide his claim for the grant of promotion to the said post of Principal with effect from the date of a junior to him was promoted to the said post, which grievance the petitioner has already been raised vide representation Annexure P4 dated 11.05.2019 by passing appropriate speaking order. Ms. Sunint Kaur, AAG, Punjab who has joined the proceedings through video conference, keeping in view the service of advance copy of petition accepts notice on behalf of respondent-State and raises no objection in deciding the representation dated 11.05.2019 (Annexure P-4) served by the petitioner in a time bound manner by passing an appropriate speaking order. In view of the above, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case or the grievance being raised by the petitioner in the representation dated 11.05.2019 (Annexure P-4), respondent No.3 is directed to decide the representation Annexure P-4 dated 11.05.2019 served by the petitioner by passing an appropriate speaking order within a period of three months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

Present writ petition stands disposed of.
