At the very outset, learned counsel for the petitioner submits that a representation (Annexure P1) was submitted before the Superintendent of Police, Batala i.e. respondent No.2 through registered post on 18.02.2017. No action has been taken on the said representation. A limited prayer is addressed that a direction be issued to respondent No.2 to look into the matter and take necessary action thereon.

Keeping in view the facts and circumstances of the case as well as the limited prayer addressed, but without commenting on the merit of the case, this petition is disposed of with a direction to respondent No.2 - Superintendent of Police, Batala to look into the representation (Annexure P1) sent through registered post by the petitioner on 18.02.2017 and take appropriate action, as may be/if any required, in accordance with law.
