The present petition has been filed under Section 438 Cr.P.C., for grant of anticipatory bail to the petitioner, in case FIR No.124 dated 30.12.2020 registered under Section 21(1) and 4(1) of Mines and Minerals Act, 1967 at Police Station Singh Bhagwantpura, District Rupnagar. As per the prosecution case, the Mining Officer had recovered one tractor trolley from the fields of the petitioner, which was being used for illegal mining purposes. Hence, the present FIR in question was registered against the petitioner.

Learned counsel for the State on instructions submits that challan stands presented and in compliance of order dated 10.05.2022, the petitioner has joined the investigation. He on further instructions submits that the petitioner is no longer required for further interrogation much less custodial interrogation.
