NAMIT KUMAR J. (Oral) Since there was no representation on behalf of the petitioners on the last date of hearing i.e. 14.11.2024, therefore, notices were ordered to be issued for today.

As per office report, notices issued to the petitioners have been received back with the report that they all have retired from service.

Prayer in this writ petition filed by the petitioners under Articles 226/227 of the Constitution of India, is for issuance of a writ in the nature of certiorari, for quashing the order dated 28.10.1998, vide which the initial pay granted to the petitioners has been reduced without giving any reason.

CWP No.16979 of 1998 (O&M) While issuing notice of motion on 05.11.1998, recovery was stayed.

Learned counsel for respondents No.2 and 3 submits that all the petitioners have retired from service and their dues have also been released.

In this view of the matter and with the efflux of time, the instant petition has been rendered infructuous and the same is disposed of accordingly.
