(Oral) The petitioner has approached this Court seeking issuance of directions to official respondents to protect his life and liberty as he apprehends threat to the same at the hands of the private respondents. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that there had been some monetary transactions between the petitioner and the private respondents and he has already paid the entire amount as was due to be paid, but the private respondents have not returned the blank cheques of the petitioner and rather have been visiting the house of the petitioner and threatening him and have been hurling abuses. Learned counsel submits that although a written representation was made to the police, but no action has been taken upon the same.

This Court has considered the rival submissions. Apparently, it is a case arising out of some kind of monetary transaction and it appears that there is some dispute with respect to the same. In any case, since the petitioner has expressed some kind of threat to his life MOHAN SINGH 2023.02.21 15:32 I attest to the accuracy and authenticity of this order/judgment

CRWP-1652-2023 (O&M) - 2 - and liberty, respondent No.3-Senior Superintendent of Police, Patiala, is directed to get the representation dated 03.01.2023 (Annexure P-2) examined qua the alleged threat perception. However, the same needs to be examined qua the male members of the family only i.e. qua respondents No.5 and 7 and not qua the lady members.
