Mr. M.S. Bajwa, Advocate, for respondents No.2 and 3. RAMENDRA JAIN, J. (ORAL) In compliance of order dated 27.01.2020, learned counsel for the petitioners has produced receipts of `20,000/-. The same are taken on record. Registry is directed to verify the deposit of costs by the petitioners with the concerned quarters.

Prayer in the instant petition under Section 482 Cr.P.C. has been made for quashing FIR No.70 dated 15.09.2016 registered under Sections 323, 324, 148, 149 IPC (Section 326 IPC added later on) at Police Station Noormehal, District Jalandhar Rural, and all consequential proceedings arising therefrom, on the basis of compromise dated 22.11.2018 (Annexure P-3) arrived at between the parties. Pursuant to order dated 20.02.2019 of this Court, the parties appeared before learned Judicial Magistrate First Class, Phillaur, on 15.03.2019 to get their statements recorded. -2CRM-M-7493 of 2019 First Class, Phillaur, has submitted his report vide letter bearing No.1321 dated 19.03.2019, duly forwarded by learned District and Sessions Judge, Jalandhar, vide letter No.826 G/JRK dated 20.03.2019. According to the above report, compromise arrived at between the parties is voluntary and genuine one and same is without any pressure or coercion. No accused has been declared proclaimed offender. Therefore, in view of above and the fact that the compromise will bring peace and harmony between the parties, FIR No.70 dated 15.09.2016 registered under Sections 323, 324, 148, 149 IPC (Section 326 IPC added later on) at Police Station Noormehal, District Jalandhar Rural, and all subsequent proceedings arising therefrom, are quashed. Disposed of accordingly.
