Mr. Pawan Attri, Advocate for the petitioners ..

ALKA SARIN, J. (Oral):

Heard in virtual mode.

This is a petition under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for issuance of a writ in the nature of mandamus directing respondent Nos.2 and 3 to protect the life and liberty of the petitioners at the hands of respondent Nos.4 to 7 and not to interfere in the lives of the petitioners. Learned counsel for the petitioners would contend that the date of birth of petitioner No.1 is 08.12.2003 and that of petitioner No.2 is 05.06.2003. The Aadhar Cards of both the petitioners have been appended with the petition as Annexures P-1 and P-2, respectively. It is further contended that the petitioners are both major and are in live-in-relationship, as the petitioner No.1 has yet not attained the marriageable age. It has further been contended that the petitioners are receiving serious threats to their life and liberty from respondent Nos.4 to 7 who are parents and relatives of petitioner No.2 and are against the relationship of the petitioners. In this PARKASH CHAND 2022.03.08 11:34 I attest to the accuracy and authenticity of this document

CRWP No.1960 of 2022 -2regard, a representation dated 02.03.2022 (Annexure P-4) has already been sent to the Superintendent of Police, District Kaithal, respondent No.2 herein. However, no action has been taken qua the same. Notice of motion.

On the asking of the Court, Mr. Viney Phogat, DAG Haryana has joined the session through video conferencing (VC) and accepts notice on behalf of the official respondent Nos.1 to 3. Mr. Vivek Khatri, Advocate has also put in appearance through VC and accepts notice on behalf of the private respondent Nos.4 to 7.

It has been contended by the learned counsel appearing for respondent Nos.4 to 7 that no threat has been given to the petitioners by the private respondents and that they have no objection to the said live-inrelationship of the petitioners. In view of the statement made by learned counsel for respondent Nos.4 to 7, no order needs to be passed in the present petition. Needless to say that the petitioners would always be at liberty to approach the officials respondents in case of any threat to their life and liberty and the same shall be looked into by the official respondents in accordance with law. Disposed off accordingly.
