(ORAL) Prayer in this petition filed under Section 482 Cr.P.C. is for quashing of FIR No. 0004 dated 30.07.2022 registered under Sections 406/498-A IPC at Police Station NRI, Jalandhar and all the consequential proceedings arising therefrom.
At the outset, learned counsel for the petitioners submits that he does not want to press this petition on merits, at this stage and confines his prayer only qua exemption of the petitioners who are old aged parents-in-law of respondent No. 2/complainant from personal appearance before the trial Court.
Notice of motion.
On the asking of Court, Mr. Kunwarbir Singh, AAG, Punjab, accepts notice on behalf of respondent-State and submits that he has no objection in case the prayer made by learned counsel for the petitioner at this stage, is accepted.
In view of the above, the present petition is disposed of and the personal appearance of the petitioners herein before the trial Court is exempted.
