Ms.Rajni Gupta, Addl.A.G, Pb.
Rajan Gupta, J (Oral) This is a petition under Section 439 Cr.P.C. seeking regular bail in a case registered under Sections 363, 366, 376, 120-B IPC vide FIR No.36 dated 27.4.2014 at Police Station Bhaini Mian Khan, District Gurdaspur.
Petitioner is stated to be in custody since 12.5.2014. Main prosecution witnesses have already been examined. Under the circumstances, I am of the considered view that no useful purpose will be served by detaining the petitioner any longer. The trial may take long time to conclude. Thus, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case, this petition is allowed and the petitioner is directed to be released on bail to the satisfication of Chief Judicial Magistrate/Duty Magistrate, Gurdaspur.
