HARSH BUNGER, J. (ORAL) Prayer in the present petition, filed under Section 438 of the Code of Criminal Procedure is for grant of anticipatory bail to the petitioner in case FIR No.148 dated 02.08.2021, registered under Section 379-B(1) read with Section 34 of the Indian Penal Code, at Police Station Dinanagar, District Gurdaspur, Punjab.
At the very outset, learned counsel for the petitioner submits that he may be permitted to withdraw the present petition so as to enable him to challenge the order dated 18.01.2023 passed by the trial Court, whereby, the bail of the petitioner was cancelled and bail/surety bonds were forfeited to State.
