(ORAL) Through this petition under Section 482 Cr.P.C., prayer has been made for quashing of FIR No. 38 dated 16.03.2018 (Annexure P-1) registered under Section 306 IPC at Police Station Raikot (now Police Sation Hathur), District Ludhiana and all the subsequent proceedings arising therefrom.

Learned State counsel has filed reply by way of affidavit of Sh. Gurmeet Singh, PPS, Deputy Superintendent of Police, Raikot, Police District Ludhiana (Rural), in Court today. The same is taken on record. Office to tag the same at appropriate place. A copy thereof has been supplied to learned counsel for the petitioner. According to the aforesaid reply, the police has filed cancellation report as the complainant is not traceable. In view of the above, the instant petition has rendered infructuous and the same is dismissed as such.
