(Oral) Learned counsel for the petitioner relies upon order dated 11.05.2017 passed in LPA No.1453 of 2016 to contend that in case of Punjab Waqf Board, Division bench of this Court has observed that the amount admissible to Imam on his retirement was insufficient for his sustainability, nevertheless, it being a policy matter which falls within the domain of Waqf Board, suffice, it would be to dispose of the appeal with a direction to the Punjab Waqf Board to consider the desirability of suitably revision of the amounts admissible to an Imam after retirement.

The aforesaid directions were implemented by the Punjab government and a policy was framed thereafter. Petitioner seeks similar relief for the Imams in Haryana Waqf, AMANDEEP GOSAIN 2022.03.08 17:19 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document

Learned counsel for respondent No.2 submits that respondent No.2 is in the process of framing necessary policy to cover the terms and conditions of recruitment, number of posts, salary, age of retirement and pensionary benefits to Imams. In view of the statement made by learned counsel for respondent No.2, this writ petition is disposed of, as such.
