 With the consent of learned counsel for the parties and keeping in view the facts and circumstances mentioned in Civil Misc. Application No. 5339-LPA-2023, the appeal is preponed and taken on board today itself for hearing.

Learned counsel appearing for the applicant-appellants has referred to a judgment dated 28.11.2023 passed by the learned Single Bench of this Court in Civil Writ Petition No. 1887-2019 and other connected matters wherein learned State counsel appearing for the respondent-State of Haryana has made a statement that in terms of the notification dated 03.11.2017 a Committee was constituted for applying the principle of 'equal pay for equal work' to other categories of employees and the Committee identified Extension Lectures as one such category of employees to whom the principle shall apply and after accepting the recommendations, the memorandum dated 27.06.2019 was issued in terms thereof stipulating that the Extension Lectuers be given the benefit from the date of notification. 2023:PHHC:164992-DB 2 LPA-256-2023 The writ petition filed by the petitioners therein was allowed by the learned single Judge keeping in view the ratio laid down by the Supreme Court in Bahadur Singh and others vs. Jaspreet Kaur Talwar and others, 2022 SCC Online SC 1077, and it has been observed by the learned Single Judge that the petitioners therein are entitled to the pay scale for the post of Assistant Professor with grade pay and dearness allowance. 4.

Learned counsel appearing for the applicant-appellants submits that this petition be also disposed of in the same terms by issuing direction to the respondents to decide the representation which shall be filed by the appellants within a period of 10 days. Learned counsel appearing for the respondent-State of Haryana does not oppose this prayer. 5.

In view of the above facts and circumstances, the present appeal is disposed of with a direction to the respondents to decide the representation after the considering the judgment passed by the learned single Judge in Civil Writ Petition No. 1887-2019 and the relevant Rules and pass appropriate orders thereon in accordance with law.
