(Oral) Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that the petitioners had been proceeded against in respect of FIR No. 141, dated 30.7.2017, Police Station Sadar Tarn Taran, under Sections 302, 364, 148, 149 IPC, which was lodged at the instance of Jashanbir Singh (respondent No.5), but the petitioners stand acquitted. It has been submitted that the complainant is however, still nursing grudge against the petitioners and is threatening to cause harm to them.
Having heard the learned counsel for the petitioner, and without commenting anything as regards the merits of the assertions made in the petition, the instant petition is disposed of with a direction to respondent No.3-Senior Superintendent of Police, Tarn Taran, to the effect that in case PANKAJ KAKKAR 2023.03.01 15:40 I attest to the accuracy and authenticity of this document
CRWP-1695-2023 (O&M) - 2 - any representation is submitted by the petitioners as regards their alleged threat perception within 15 days from today, the same shall be got examined and shall be disposed of in accordance with law. In case, it is found that there is genuine threat to life and liberty of the petitioners, then necessary steps warranted under law be taken thereupon.
