(Oral) Petitioner No.1-Bharti aged 18 years and petitioner No.2Saddam Khan aged 21 years, have approached this Court seeking issuance of a direction to the official respondents to protect their lives and liberty. In the present case, petitioner No.1-Bharti was previously married to respondent No.8-Pankaj Malhotra. However, the said marriage is stated to have been forcibly solemnized by the parents of petitioner No.1. Since, respondent No.8 used to give beatings to petitioner No.1 and had thrown her out of her matrimonial home, petitioner No.1 started living with petitioner No.2, whom she knew previously, in a live-in relationship, but both of them now apprehend threat to their lives at the hands of private respondents.

Having heard the learned counsel for the petitioners and while refraining from making any expression as regards the veracity of the MOHAN SINGH 2022.03.10 17:39 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document

- 2 - CRWP-2192-2022 (O&M) averments made in the petition, the petition is disposed of with a direction to respondent No.2 i.e. Superintendent of Police, Faridabad, to get representation dated 2.3.2022 (Annexure P-4) examined as regards the alleged threat perception of the petitioners and to take necessary action as may be warranted under the facts and circumstances of the case. A copy of this order alongwith copy of the representation dated 2.3.2022 be sent to Superintendent of Police, Faridabad (respondent No.2), so as to enable him to do the needful expeditiously. It is, however, clarified that the aforesaid order is not to be taken as any kind of expression as regards the relationship of the parties.
