Through the instant petition filed under Articles 226/227 of the Constitution of India, prayer is made for issuance of a writ in the nature of mandamus directing the respondents to appoint the petitioner on compassionate grounds under the policy dated 28.9.2018, Annexure P/4, which provides for compassionate appointments to dependents of Haryana domicile Battle Casualties, being dependent brother of martyr Grenadier Devender Bhati.

During the course of arguments, it is submitted that at this stage, the petitioner shall be satisfied, in case mandamus is passed upon the competent authority concerned to decide the representation, which is pending consideration before the authority concerned, since long. Therefore, without observing anything on the merits of the instant case, respondent no.4-The Secretary, Sainik and Ardh Sainik Welfare Office, Sector-16, Faridabad, is directed to decide the representation, as moved by the present petitioner, by passing a speaking order, within a period of 02 months, from the date of receipt of certified copy of this order.
