(ORAL) By way of present petition filed under Section 482 CrPC, prayer has been made for issuance of directions to the learned Sessions Judge-cum-Designated Special Court, Ambala under Prevention of Money Laundering Act, 2002 for concluding the hearing on application bearing No.IA-1-2022 in COMA-14449 of 2013 dated 04.03.2022. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that post attachment of the property in question, the petitioner purchased the same vide registered sale deed dated 16.08.2010. During trial, the vendor was declared as proclaimed offender, faced with the same, the petitioner moved an application under Sub-Section 7 to Section 8 of the Prevention of Money Laundering Act, 2002 whereupon notice was issued TEJWINDER SINGH 2023.03.02 09:35 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document

CRM-M-10288-2023 (O&M) -2to respondent No.2 who has already filed its reply and the application is pending consideration before the Designated Special Court. The limited prayer made by petitioner at this stage is that the application filed at his instance, invoking Sub-Section 7 to Section 8 of the Prevention of Money Laundering Act, 2022 is pending sub judice for the past almost 11 months now and no final decision has been taken thereupon.

Without commenting upon the merits of the prayer made in the application, the Designated Special Court is requested to take a final decision thereupon, in accordance with law, preferably within a period of two months.

In view of the aforesaid circumstances, the present petition is disposed of.
