The prayer in the present petition under Articles 226/227 of the Constitution of India is for the issuance of directions to restore the security cover of the petitioner No.2 and her family members. 2.

The learned counsel for the petitioners contends that adequate security be provided to the petitioners, who belong to a political family as they face a threat to their lives.

The learned State counsel has filed a reply dated 11.03.2026 which is taken on record. While referring to the said reply, he submits that initially in the year 2023, the petitioner No.1 was indeed facing a threat to his life and security was provided at that stage. On a reassessment, it has been found that neither he nor his family members need any security. However, a PCR has been deployed near the residence of the petitioner.
