The present petition has been filed inter alia praying for issuance of appropriate directions to respondents No. 2 and 3 to protect the life and liberty of the petitioner at the hands of private respondents No. 4 to 6.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that in light of the status report filed by the Authorities, he does not wish to press the present petition and accordingly, prays for withdrawal of the same at this stage. 3.

In light of the above, the present petition stands dismissed as withdrawn at this stage, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case.
