RAMENDRA JAIN, J. (ORAL) Prayer in the instant petition under Section 482 Cr.P.C. has been made for quashing FIR No.171 dated 30.08.2017 (Annexure P-1) registered under Sections 323, 324, 341 and 34 IPC at Police Station Civil Lines Batala, Police District Batala, on the basis of compromise dated 21.12.2017 (Annexure P-2).

Pursuant to order dated 12.01.2018 of this Court, the parties appeared before the trial Court/Illaqa Magistrate on 12.02.2018 to get their statements recorded. Learned Judicial Magistrate Ist Class, Batala, has submitted her report vide letter bearing No.73 dated 09.03.2018 duly forwarded by learned District and Sessions Judge, Gurdaspur vide Endst. No.5041/RKT dated 12.03.2018.

According to the report, learned Judicial Magistrate Ist Class, Batala, is satisfied that compromise effected between both the parties is genuine, which is not the result of any pressure or coercion. No accused has Ravinder Singh 2018.07.13 18:49 I attest to the accuracy and authenticity of this document been declared proclaimed offender in the present case. Considering the report of learned Judicial Magistrate Ist Class,

-2CRM-M-1175 of 2018 Batala, and the fact that the compromise will bring peace and harmony in relations between the parties, FIR No.171 dated 30.08.2017 (Annexure P-1) registered under Sections 323, 324, 341 and 34 IPC at Police Station Civil Lines Batala, Police District Batala, is hereby quashed, subject to payment of costs of `10,000/-, out of which `6,000/- shall be deposited with the Punjab State Legal Services Authority and `4,000/- with the Bar Council of Punjab and Haryana.

Petition is disposed of accordingly.

List on 23.8.2018 for production of receipt with regard to deposit of aforesaid costs.
