(Oral) The petitioners have approached this Court under Articles 226/227 of the Constitution of India, seeking issuance of directions to the official respondents No.2 and 3, to safeguard the lives of the petitioners and their family members by providing them adequate police protection at the hands of respondents No.4 to 8.

The averments made in the petition as well as the submissions made by the learned counsel for the petitioners, do not inspire confidence of this Court and deserves to be rejected outrightly. Dismissed. It shall, however, be open for the petitioners to take recourse to the alternative remedies as may be available to them in accordance with law.
