(ORAL) This is a petition that has been filed under Section 482 Cr.P.C. for quashing of FIR No. 43 dated 20.08.2013 under Sections 498-A, 506, 120-B IPC, registered at Police Station Taragarh, District Pathankot. Learned counsel for the petitioner contends that the FIR was registered as far back as 20.08.2013 under Sections 498-A, 506, 120-B IPC and petitioner herein is the husband of the complainant and alleges that the allegations as set out in the FIR are unsustainable and, therefore, the FIR ought to be quashed. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that he had made an attempt to contact the petitioner, however, has not been able to do so.

CRM-M-10957-2014 -2Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the respondent-State submits that out of total 17 witnesses, 6 have already been examined and submits that at the present moment this Court should not interfere in the matter.

I have heard learned counsel for the parties and have also perused the zimini orders passed.

At the present moment, there is no stay of the proceedings. The matter was even referred to the Mediation and Conciliation Centre of this Court, which mediation seems to have failed. In view of the fact that the trial is proceeding and most of the witnesses have been recorded, no further orders are called for in the instant petition. Petition stands dismissed.
