MANJARI NEHRU KAUL, J. (Oral) The present petition under Section 482 Cr.P.C. has been filed for a direction to respondents No.2 and 3 to fairly and impartially investigate the matter in FIR No. 69 dated 19.09.2018 under Section 498-A IPC registered at Police Station Women Cell, District Amritsar.
Learned counsel for the petitioner at the outset submits that a direction be issued to the police authorities for taking a decision on the complaint/representation submitted by the petitioner. Keeping in view the limited prayer addressed by the petitioner, facts and circumstances of the case but without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case, it is considered appropriate to dispose of this petition, with a direction to the Senior Superintendent of Police, Amritsar, (respondent No.2) to look into the complaint/representation dated 17.01.2020 (Annexure P6) and take appropriate action as may be required.
