Krishan Kumar Sharma v. State Of Hy.Tc.
IN THE HIGH COURT OF PUNJAB AND HARYANA AT CHANDIGARH
CWP- 17688-2000 (O&M) Date of decision: July 13, 2022 Dr. Krishan Kumar Sharma
...Petitioner
versus State of Haryana
...Respondent
CORAM: HON'BLE MR. JUSTICE ARUN MONGA
Present:
Mr. Sandeep Dhull, Advocate, for the petitioner.
Mr. R.D. Sharma, DAG, Haryana.
***** ARUN MONGA, J. (ORAL) Petition herein, inter alia, is for issuance of a writ in the nature of certiorari to quash the impugned order dated 22.03.2000 (Annexure P-12) whereby he has been awarded punishment of stoppage of three increments with cumulative effect and petitioner be granted all consequential benefits. 2.
Petition was admitted for hearing on 12.02.2002. When taken up for final adjudication, after around 22 years, learned counsel for the petitioner sought time on 25.05.2022 and when taken up again today he still seeks more time to argue. On a Court query, learned counsel for the petitioner fairly concedes that all his attempts to establish contact with the petitioner have been futile. 3.
It seems that by sheer effluxion of time and pendency of the writ petition for more than 21 years before this Court, it has been rendered infructuous and/or the petitioner seems to have lost interest in pursuing the same. 4.
Be that as it may, writ petition is disposed of with liberty to the petitioner to file an appropriate application in case, any cause of action still survives.
