The present application has been filed for directions to the respondents to release the share of compensation along with interest to the applicant/petitioner No.6.

Learned counsel for the respondents No.1 to 3 submits that they have preferred application for clarification of the order dated 09.12.2016 passed by the Division Bench of this Court in CWP-23172-2014 and the Division Bench of this Court has requested the contempt court to keep the proceedings in abeyance till the decision of the said application, vide order dated 20.04.2026.

On oral request of learned counsel for both the parties, the date of hearing in the present petition is preponed and is taken on board today itself.

In view of the above, since the respondents have preferred application for clarification of the order dated 09.12.2016 passed by the Division Bench of this Court in CWP-23172-2014, the present contempt petition is dismissed. Liberty is, however, granted to the petitioners to avail the remedy as is available to them, in accordance with law, after the decision of aforesaid application.
