(Oral) At the outset, learned counsel for petitioner no.8 seeks permission to withdraw the petition qua petitioner no.8. 2.

Permission is granted.

The petition stands dismissed as withdrawn qua petitioner no.8. 4.

The petition has been filed seeking a writ of certiorari quashing the selection of JBT teachers as per result declared/published on 07.10.2000, Annexure P-2, who were selected pursuant to advertisement 01 of 1999 dated 15.11.1999.

Learned State counsel contends that the writ petition is not maintainable as all the candidates who would be affected in case the petition is to be allowed have not been impleaded as parties to the petition. CWP-15936-2001 (O&M) -2pursuant to the selection in question for 3206 vacant posts, the selected candidates were given appointment and have rendered about twenty-four years of service by now, if not retired already.

In view thereof, there is no ground to entertain the petition, and it stands dismissed.
